Our adventure begins with a walk around Lake Bled and a ride on a traditional "pletna" boat to the enchanting island of Bled. From there, we'll visit Bled Castle and enjoy delicious Slovenian delicacies such as "Kremsnita" vanilla cream cake and delicious "Potica" nut cake. Afterward, we'll drive to the picturesque Vintgar Gorge, which isn't to be missed. We walk among breathtaking limestone formations carved deep into the gorge by the Radovna River. We follow the 1.6 km long path full of bridges and galleries and fully immerse ourselves in the remarkable landscape of the gorge, where we walk along a wooden path and enjoy the incredible view of the rushing Radovna River and the vertically towering cliffs.
Please note: Vintgar Gorge is closed during the winter season (usually October through April) depending on weather conditions. An excellent alternative is to visit the Savica Waterfall. If you are planning to visit Slovenia during the winter months, we would be happy to take you there and show you its beauty.
We continue to Bohinj, where we're surrounded by magnificent mountains reflected in the crystal clear waters of Lake Bohinj. We explore small mountain villages like Ribicev Laz and Ukanc and experience the relaxed way of life in these charming communities. And of course, we can't forget to visit Pokljuka, a breathtaking plateau covered by magnificent forests and part of the Triglav National Park.
