Drive to the Bizeljsko wine growing region and admire the green hills with plenty of vineyards scattered between small villages and forests.
Visit a winemaker with superb wines that have been placed on international gourmet maps being served at restaurants rewarded with Michelin stars. Discover repnice cellars, a peculiarity of Bizeljsko region, once used to store turnips and now more commonly for wine storage.
Continue towards Olimje, renowned for its peacefulness and one of the oldest pharmacies in Europe, today still a part of a functioning monastery housed in a Renaisannce castle.

Brežice is a town close to Croatian border. It used to be the border between two borderlands of the Austro-Hungarian Empire places at the confluence of two rivers, Sava & Krka. Besides a beautiful town centre it is marked by a large castle with its beginings from the 12th century, home of the regional museum and the beautifully painted Knight's hall.
Bizeljsko is one of many wine regions of Slovenia, mainly famous for its sparkling wines. However, other sorts thrive in this part, which has one of the kindest climates in the country. Some of the wineries hide another ethnology gem - repnice cellars, with centuries long tradition which was revived in the last couple of decades.
A beautiful castle that was turned into a monastery in 17th century now houses the oldest farmacy in Europe. Still an active monastery it allows the visitors to see the farmacy as well as buy products, such as natural herbal remedies, made by the monks still residing in this peaceful corner of Slovenia.
Our prices are all-inclusive, so the only extra cost on the tour is lunch. You need to take that into consideration when comparing tour prices, as many agencies advertise low prices and put the admission fees and other extras in the small print.
