Bizeljsko is one of many wine regions of Slovenia, mainly famous for its sparkling wines. However, other sorts thrive in this part, which has one of the kindest climates in the country. Some of the wineries hide another ethnology gem - repnice cellars, with centuries long tradition which was revived in the last couple of decades.

A beautiful castle that was turned into a monastery in 17th century now houses the oldest farmacy in Europe.
