Kranjska Gora, a small ski resort town, is famous as the traditional setting of downhill skiing World Cup competitions. Just outside Kranjska Gora, lying at the foothills of the mighty Julian Alps is the picturesque Jasna lake.

Liznjek House

Today Liznjek’s house is mainly seen as a prototype of an authentic Alpine House of Gorenjska region from 17th century, known also as one of the most advanced types of architecture of that time. The farmhouse which was the richest homestead in Kranjska Gora, operates as an ethnographic museum with rich original furnishing and great presentation of the living conditions a few hundred years ago.

Zelenci

One of the Springs of river Sava, the biggest tributary of the dreamy Danube river, is actually an emerald green lake, situated at the northern edge of the Triglav National Park. The fairytale lake does not freeze in the winter, because of the constant temperature throughout the year, which is about 6°C and is also a home to numerous endangered animal and plant species.

Planica Nordic Centre and adrenaline activities
